Good Morning (Afternoon) Pittsburgh! Ready for another installment of the Weekly Rundown? Well then, let’s get to it.

First things first: have you signed up for The Second Annual CSIpgh Charity Golf Outing yet? The outing will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway, PA. The event is a great way to network with fellow HVAC contractors on the links or over dinner and drinks. We also have a ton of team and skill prizes, as well as a silent auction and raffle! All proceeds benefit The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, which helps to support families in the region who are facing hunger. Next week, Brendan and Sarah will be headed to the City of Awful Hockey Fans Brotherly Love to sit in on a MEHVAC Customer Service ‘Train the Trainer’ course. We’ve offered this training course previously, which discusses the good, bad, and ugly sides of customer service. Brendan and Sarah will learn how to teach this course so that we are able to provide it for our contractors moving forward.

Unlike most of our trainings, this one is geared towards reception and administrative staff, and really, anyone who answers the phone and takes customer orders (which may sometimes even be the owner!). The course goes over the steps of what AWESOME customer service looks and sounds like, which in turn will help you to close more deals.

We’ve had rave reviews over this course in the past, and to paraphrase one of our contractors: “No one has ever taken the time to train our support staff like this before. Our receptionist said that it was one of the best days that she’s spent learning and it was a good way to not only learn more about the products we sell, but to learn how something as simple as providing great service when answering the phone contributes to our company’s overall success”.
