80 golfers joined us on Tuesday, October 4th for our 1st Annual Charity Golf Outing at Quicksilver Golf Course. On-site alone, we raised over $3,800 for The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

dsc_0093 The weather was absolutely perfect as golfers teed off for 18 holes of scramble-style tournament play. Participants also had the opportunity to compete in a variety skill matches throughout the day including longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one competitions.

Following the scramble was a cocktail hour and dinner, complete with prizes aplenty. Among the items up for grabs were various themed gift baskets, restaurant gift cards, Steelers & Penguins tickets, and a 3 day getaway to Cabo.

“Our first golf outing went off without a hitch, and I couldn’t be happier with how the day turned out. Everyone had a great time, and we were able to raise money for a charity that is close to our hearts”, said Sarah Messner, CSIpgh Marketing & Events Coordinator.

Be sure to check out our Facebook page where you can find all of the photos from the event. We’ll be posting the final donation amount once we finish tallying money raised from registration and our sponsors – stay tuned!

dsc_0023We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the sponsors, volunteers, and golfers who helped to make our 1st Annual Charity Golf Outing a success – we couldn’t have done it without your generosity. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!

If you have any non-perishable food items that you would like to donate to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food bank, please feel free bring them to any of our 3 locations. No donation is too small or too big to make a difference!
