One thing that I really enjoy is teaching. I think part of that probably stems from doing judo at an early age. The nature of martial arts is to foster everyone’s wellbeing, and that success of the group is more important than the success of the individual.

When I was in middle school, we had special-interest free periods at the end of the day. I had just won the national judo championship, and my science teacher asked me to teach a self-defense class. So that year I would bring my judo uniform to school once a week and show the other kids some moves.

I think in a parallel life I would have become a history teacher, I enjoy helping people learn. “
