How long have you worked at Comfort Supply?
I started on August 8th, 2018.
How did you get into the industry?
Bill (Edmiston) mentioned something to me because I was looking for a job, and he sent me the Craiglist ad and told me to apply. I talked to Brendan on the phone, and then he drove out to interview me on my lunch break. I told him that I had no background in HVAC, but I was a plumbing engineer for 11 years until they went out of business, so I had a similar background in a parallel industry. After they went out of business, I worked for the post office for 6 years – but it wasn’t a long-term career for me, I got sick of the politics and drama and was looking for something new. Now I come into work every morning and the only one grumbling is Pat, haha!
What is your favorite part about working at CSIpgh?
The Family Atmosphere! I’ve never worked in a place with such a close-knit bunch of people who discuss everything and are always willing to answer questions and give feedback.
What drives you professionally?
Working to succeed and constantly be better.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I am a landlocked beach bum, and I’m also a snowboarder. I’ve been doing that since I was about 16, but with having young kids it was hard to find the time to go in recent years. Now that the kids are older, they are interested in learning and I’m looking forward to getting back into it this year.
