How long have you worked at Comfort Supply?

August, 2015.

How did you get into the industry?

I attended VoTec school in 1975 in HVAC. I went to work after graduation as a service tech, then I got into the wholesale business. My uncle was in the business and he recommended me to go to work as an outside salesman with a wholesaler; from that point it’s all I’ve done for 30 years. I owned a distributor in the 90’s, and sold that in 2001. I then went to work for an American Standard distributor as an outside salesman, and eventually became a partner. In 2012 that business was sold; and at that point, I went to work for a contractor. Once CSI took on the American Standard brand, Jeff [Wappler] reached out and asked if I was interested in an outside sales position- so I jumped at the opportunity.

What is your favorite part about working at CSIpgh?

I like the family owned business atmosphere. And I love that management allows you to do your job; they allow you to get the job done and they aren’t micromanaging the details of everyone’s job.

What drives you professionally?

The ability to build relationships with customers that I’ve known for 30 years. It’s the only thing I’ve ever done- and I love doing it.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I just recently branded my car with a “CSI  ALT “ custom license plate! I’m also an amateur wine maker – my favorite is the Chocolate Salted Carmel Cabernet.
